Eggs 6
Oil 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Coco powder ¼ cup
Refined flour ¾ cup

Fresh cream 2 cups beaten
Cherry tin 1
Corn flour 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon


Preheat oven to 170°C/325°F. Grease and line the base and sides of a cake dish. Separate egg yolks and egg whites in different bowls. Beat them separately and then mix them and beat them again. Beat this mixture till its texture looks like a foam. Now add sugar in it and again beat it. Take refined flour and coco powder and mix them then add oil in it. Pour this mixture in egg mixture and beat it till all blends. Add lemon juice in it and bake it in a preheated oven.

Bake for around 30-45 minutes, until the cake has risen and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out cleanly.

Take cherry tin and separate its water and cherries. In a pot boil the cherry juice. Make the mixture of corn flour and add this in the boiling juice to make it a thick paste. Now add cherries in it after removing its seeds and make it cool. Also add cinnamon powder.

Cut down the sponge in to two pieces from its center and on the lower part spread cherries mixture over it. Then make a 2nd layer of cream over it. Cover it the sponge 2nd layer. Now spread cream over it. Chill it and serve it.
