Spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 250g ground beef
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped (or 1 cup canned tomatoes)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- ½ cup beef broth (or water)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the Spaghetti
- Boil salted water and cook spaghetti until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a pan, sauté onions until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.
- Add tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
3️⃣ Combine & Serve
- Toss spaghetti with the sauce or serve the sauce on top.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese & fresh parsley.
