Smash Taco

(Serves 4)

Total: 8 tacos (2 per serving)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20)
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced onions (optional)
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup salsa
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat & Season: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
2️⃣ Smash the Beef: Place a small ball of beef (about 2 oz) on a tortilla, then press it flat with a spatula.
3️⃣ Cook Until Crispy: Flip the tortilla so the beef side is down and cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy.
4️⃣ Melt the Cheese: Flip back, sprinkle cheese on the beef, and let it melt.
5️⃣ Assemble & Serve: Top with lettuce, sour cream, and salsa. Enjoy warm!
