Cumin Biscuits (Zeera Biscuits)


Refined flour 2 cups
Baking powder 2 teaspoons
Butter 4 tablespoons
Salt 1 teaspoon
Sugar 2 tablespoon
Cumin seeds ½-1 teaspoon
Milk ¾ cup
Egg 1


In flour add baking powder, salt and sift. Now add sugar, cumin seeds and melted butter. Add milk gradually, stirring until dough is formed. Now turn out on slightly floured board and knead for 30 seconds with soft hand. Roll ½ inch thick and cut with 2 inch floured biscuits cutter. Bake on greased baking tray for 12-15 minutes in a 400 degree oven. Make 12 biscuits.
