Chocolate Syrup

This rich and decadent homemade chocolate syrup is perfect for drizzling over ice cream, pancakes, waffles, or mixing into your favorite milkshake. It’s so easy to make and brings a smooth, chocolatey touch to every bite! 


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add water to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
  4. Once it begins to simmer, reduce the heat and let it cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The syrup will thicken as it cooks.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Let it cool before serving. Store the syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
