Crispy Fried Chicken

Servings:

  • Serves 4-5 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken (boiled)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • ½ cup green grams (soaked for 2 hours, then ground into a paste)
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 4 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 egg
  • Oil (for deep frying)

Directions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:

    • In a large bowl, add the boiled chicken pieces.
    • Mix in mustard powder, black pepper, red chili powder, salt, and vinegar.
    • Let it marinate for 30 minutes for better flavor.
  2. Prepare the Coating:

    • In another bowl, combine the ground green gram paste, corn flour, and egg.
    • Mix well, adding a little water if needed to make a thick batter.
  3. Frying:

    • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
    • Dip each marinated chicken piece into the batter, coating it evenly.
    • Deep fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy (about 6-8 minutes).
    • Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  4. Serving:

    • Serve hot with ketchup, chili garlic sauce, or coleslaw.
