Apple Fritters

Golden, crispy apple fritters with a soft, cinnamon-spiced center—perfect for a cozy snack or dessert!

Ingredients:

For the Fritters:

  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled & diced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Oil for frying

For the Glaze (Optional but Recommended!)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the Batter:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
  • Slowly add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples.

2️⃣ Fry the Fritters:

  • Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop heaping spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
  • Fry for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  • Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

3️⃣ Glaze the Fritters (Optional):

  • In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle over the warm fritters.

4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:

  • Serve warm with coffee, tea, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream! 🍦
