Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (190 g)

Instructions:

1. Preheat and Prepare:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. Incorporate Butter:

  • Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingertips or a pastry cutter to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. Add Cheese:

  • Mix in the grated cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese (if using). Stir to combine.

5. Form the Dough:

  • Gradually add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough comes together. Avoid over-mixing.

6. Shape the Biscuits:

  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ½ inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter or a knife to cut out desired shapes.
  • Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.

7. Bake:

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and puffy.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving.
