Chicken Mango Pizza
A unique fusion pizza combining savory chicken, sweet mango, and aromatic anise-flavored sauce for a delightful twist!

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
Ingredients:
- 2 cups refined flour (250g)
- 1 cup warm milk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 3 tablespoons white butter
Instructions:
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine refined flour, salt, and butter.
- Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, mix yeast, sugar, and warm milk. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Knead the Dough: Gradually add the yeast mixture into the flour, kneading into a soft dough.
- First Rise: Cover the dough and let it rest at room temperature for 3-4 hours, until it doubles in size.
Step 2: Make the Anise-Flavored Pizza Sauce
Ingredients:
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground anise seeds
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
Instructions:
- Grind anise seeds until fine.
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
- Spread evenly over the pizza dough when assembling.
Step 3: Prepare the Chicken & Toppings
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 250g boneless chicken, diced
- 1 capsicum, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 ripe mango, chopped
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions:
- Sauté Garlic & Chicken: Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, and sauté until golden. Add diced chicken and cook until lightly browned.
- Add Vegetables: Stir in chopped capsicum, onion, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Tomatoes & Mango: Quickly toss in the tomatoes and chopped mango, sautéing for just a minute to maintain freshness.
Step 4: Assemble & Bake the Pizza
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the risen dough and place it in a greased pizza pan.
- Spread the sauce evenly over the dough.
- Layer cheese: Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Add Toppings: Spread the prepared chicken, vegetables, and mango evenly.
- Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 180°C (350°F) and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!
- Slice and serve hot with garlic dip or chili flakes for extra flavor!
