Tahini (Sesame Seed Paste)
Tahini is a smooth, nutty-flavored sesame seed paste used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Perfect for dips like hummus, dressings, or drizzling over roasted veggies!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sesame seeds
 - 2–4 tablespoons olive oil (or neutral oil)
 - Pinch of salt (optional)
 
Instructions:
1️⃣ Toast the Sesame Seeds:
- Heat a dry pan over medium-low heat.
 - Add sesame seeds and toast for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden and fragrant.
 - Let them cool slightly.
 
2️⃣ Blend into a Paste:
- Transfer toasted seeds to a food processor or blender.
 - Pulse until a crumbly texture forms.
 
3️⃣ Add Oil & Blend Smooth:
- Drizzle in olive oil gradually while blending.
 - Continue until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.
 - Add a pinch of salt if desired.
 
4️⃣ Store & Enjoy:
- Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge for up to 1 month.
 - Use in hummus, salad dressings, or as a spread!
