Wacky cake

This simple and delicious cake is moist, chocolatey, and surprisingly easy to make without eggs or dairy. Perfect for a quick dessert or for anyone with dietary restrictions.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups refined flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 6 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup cold water

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and line a cake dish.
  2. Sift all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder) into the cake dish.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the melted butter, vinegar, vanilla essence, and cold water.
  4. Mix well using a fork until the batter is smooth.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool completely before frosting with your favorite chocolate frosting.
