Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups refined flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 6 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 cup cold water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and line a cake dish.
- Sift all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder) into the cake dish.
- Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the melted butter, vinegar, vanilla essence, and cold water.
- Mix well using a fork until the batter is smooth.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting with your favorite chocolate frosting.
