Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the brown sugar and cook, whisking continuously, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to bubble.
  3. Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring to combine. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Let it cool slightly before serving. Drizzle over your favorite desserts or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
