Butterscotch Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the brown sugar and cook, whisking continuously, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to bubble.
- Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring to combine. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Drizzle over your favorite desserts or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
