Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound steak, cut into serving portions
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons red vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions:

  1. Season and Cook the Steak:

    • Sprinkle the steak portions with black pepper and salt.
    • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the steak until browned, about 5-8 minutes per side.
    • Remove from the skillet and place on a warm plate, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • Return the skillet to heat and add the red vinegar, water, and sugar.
    • Stir well to mix with the pan drippings.
    • Cook until the mixture is almost boiling.
  3. Serve:

    • Spoon the sauce over the steaks.
    • Serve hot with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or rice.
