Tikka Boti
A delicious and smoky grilled meat dish, Tikka Boti is marinated in flavorful spices and yogurt for tender, juicy bites. Perfect for BBQ gatherings!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef or mutton boti (boneless chunks)
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon all-spices powder (garam masala)
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons unripe papaya (mashed, for tenderizing)
Instructions:
Prepare the Marinade:
- In a blender, combine all ingredients except the meat and oil. Blend into a smooth paste.
Marinate the Meat:
- In a large bowl, add 2 tablespoons of oil and the blended yogurt mixture to the beef or mutton chunks.
- Mix well to coat all pieces evenly.
- Cover and marinate for 4-5 hours (or overnight for best results).
Grill the Tikka Boti:
- Skewer the marinated meat and barbecue over charcoal until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Brush with oil occasionally while grilling to keep it juicy.
Serve:
- Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh coriander.
- Serve hot with naan, raita, and salad.
