Hot Chocolate Mocha

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk (or any milk alternative)
  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee (espresso or regular coffee)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)
  • Optional: Chocolate syrup (for extra sweetness)

Directions:

  1. Brew Coffee:

    • Brew your coffee using your preferred method. If you have an espresso machine, use 1 shot of espresso.
  2. Heat Milk and Cocoa:

    • In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat, being careful not to boil.
    • Add cocoa powder and sugar to the milk, whisking continuously until smooth and heated through.
  3. Combine Coffee and Chocolate Milk:

    • Pour the brewed coffee into the milk and cocoa mixture. Stir until well combined.
    • Add vanilla extract and mix.
  4. Serve:

    • Pour the mocha into two mugs.
    • Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Optionally, drizzle with chocolate syrup for extra richness.
