Hot Chocolate Mocha
Servings:
- Makes 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk (or any milk alternative)
- ½ cup strong brewed coffee (espresso or regular coffee)
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)
- Optional: Chocolate syrup (for extra sweetness)
Directions:
Brew Coffee:
- Brew your coffee using your preferred method. If you have an espresso machine, use 1 shot of espresso.
Heat Milk and Cocoa:
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat, being careful not to boil.
- Add cocoa powder and sugar to the milk, whisking continuously until smooth and heated through.
Combine Coffee and Chocolate Milk:
- Pour the brewed coffee into the milk and cocoa mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Add vanilla extract and mix.
Serve:
- Pour the mocha into two mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Optionally, drizzle with chocolate syrup for extra richness.
