Maple Sugar Pie
Ingredients
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 1/4 cups pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges as desired.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, heavy cream, melted butter, eggs, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the filling is set but slightly wobbly in the center.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before slicing. For best results, refrigerate for 2–3 hours to set.
