Thousand Island Sauce
A creamy and tangy sauce, Thousand Island is the perfect addition to salads, burgers, or as a dip for your favorite snacks. With its delightful balance of flavors, this sauce is easy to make and incredibly versatile!
Servings: Makes about 1 cup
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 1 tbsp finely chopped pickles or relish
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard.
- Stir in the finely chopped onion, pickles (or relish), and lemon juice.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce (if using) for an extra kick.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix everything until smooth and well-combined.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld together.
