Thousand Island Sauce

A creamy and tangy sauce, Thousand Island is the perfect addition to salads, burgers, or as a dip for your favorite snacks. With its delightful balance of flavors, this sauce is easy to make and incredibly versatile!

Servings: Makes about 1 cup

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped pickles or relish
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard.
  2. Stir in the finely chopped onion, pickles (or relish), and lemon juice.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce (if using) for an extra kick.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Mix everything until smooth and well-combined.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld together.
