Ingredients:
Butter
1 cup
Sugar
1 cup
Brown
sugar 1 cup
Eggs
2
Almond
extract ¾ teaspoon
All-purpose
flour 2 ½ cups
Baking
powder 1 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Coconut
crushed 2 ½ cups
Almonds
¾ cup chopped
Cherries
16 ounces drained and halved
Mix
butter and sugar, and beat them until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a
time, and continuously beating. Add all other ingredients one by one and beat
them. In the end stir in coconut and almonds mix with a spoon. Drop by rounded
2 inch cookies on a greased baking tray. Place a cherry in the center of each
cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on
wire racks and serve them.
