Ingredients:
Refined flour 2 cups
Baking powder 2 teaspoons
Butter 1 cup
Caster sugar 1 cup
Cocoa powder 2 tablespoons
Eggs 5
Salt 1 pinch
Milk ½ cup
Icing:
Cream 400ml
Caster Sugar ½ cup
Direction:
Separate egg whites and egg yolks. Blend
them well. Now mix them and again blend them till smooth. Now add sugar in it
and blend till it dissolves completely.
In another bowl take flour, salt, cocoa
powder and mix. Now add melted butter in the flour mixture. Mix the butter with
the flour with the help of spatula (Note: mix the mixture in one direction). Add
eggs mixture and flour mixture in one container and again blend it. When all
the ingredients blended well then add milk in it and roll the mixture with
spatula in one direction. In a greased baking pan pour the mixture and bake it
a preheated oven at 180 C for 20-25 minutes.
Icing:
In a pan mix sugar and cocoa powder. Add
cream in it and mix it. On low flame cook it till the mixture thickens. Continuously
stir the icing with spatula.
When cake ready let it cool for 30
minutes and then cut the sponge from the middle. Now cover the middle part with
icing then cover it with the other part and again cover it with chocolate
icing. Let it cool in refrigerator.
