Homemade Energy Bars

These no-bake energy bars are packed with natural ingredients, providing a perfect balance of protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. They’re ideal for a quick breakfast, pre-workout fuel, or a midday snack.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup raisins, dried cranberries, or chopped dates
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, mix the rolled oats, chopped nuts, salt, seeds, dried fruit, chia seeds, and cinnamon (if using).
  2. Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

    • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the peanut butter and honey together until smooth. 
  3. Combine the Mixtures:

    • Pour the warm peanut butter and honey mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Shape the Bars:

    • Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture to the pan and press it down firmly with a spatula or your hands to create an even layer.
  5. Chill:

    • Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours to firm up.
  6. Cut and Serve:

    • Once set, remove the mixture from the pan using the parchment paper, and cut it into bars or squares. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
