Ingredients
- 1 medium beet, peeled and chopped
- 1-inch fresh turmeric root (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
- 1-inch fresh ginger root, peeled
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup fresh orange juice (or lemon juice for a tangy taste)
- 1 tbsp raw honey (optional)
- ¼ tsp black pepper (enhances turmeric absorption)
- Ice cubes (optional, for a chilled version)
Instructions
- Add beets, turmeric, ginger, and water to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to extract the juice.
- Stir in orange juice, honey (if using), and black pepper. Mix well.
- Serve immediately over ice or store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
