Kunafa Chocolate

 The Dubai viral Kunafa Chocolate is a delicious fusion of Middle Eastern kunafa (or kanafeh) and rich chocolate, creating a crispy, cheesy, and chocolatey dessert. 

Ingredients:

  • 200g kataifi (shredded phyllo) dough
  • 100g melted butter
  • 200g mozzarella cheese (or ricotta/cream cheese)
  • ½ cup Nutella or melted chocolate
  • ¼ cup crushed pistachios (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • ½ cup sugar syrup (simple syrup: sugar + water + lemon juice)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Kunafa Base

    • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
    • Cut or shred kataifi dough into small pieces.
    • Mix with melted butter until fully coated.
    • Spread half of the dough in a greased baking pan.
  2. Add Filling

    • Layer shredded mozzarella cheese evenly.
    • Spread Nutella or melted chocolate on top.
    • Cover with the remaining kataifi dough.
  3. Bake & Drizzle

    • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Pour warm sugar syrup over the kunafa immediately after baking.
  4. Garnish & Serve

    • Sprinkle crushed pistachios.
    • Drizzle extra chocolate if desired.
    • Serve warm for the perfect crispy and gooey texture.
