Oven-Baked Garlic Confit with Rosemary

Garlic confit is a rich, buttery spread made by slow-roasting garlic in oil until it becomes soft, caramelized, and packed with flavor. This version includes rosemary for an aromatic touch. Perfect for spreading on toast, mixing into sauces, or drizzling over roasted veggies!


Ingredients (Serves 6-8)

  • 2 cups garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 ½ cups olive oil (or neutral oil)
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). In a small oven-safe dish, add peeled garlic cloves.

Add Flavor:
Pour the olive oil over the garlic, ensuring they are fully submerged. Add rosemary sprigs, salt, and pepper.

Slow Roast:
Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours until garlic is soft, golden, and fork-tender.

Cool & Store:
Let it cool before transferring to a clean jar with the oil. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
